hey, i've mainly had southamerican cichlids so i'm used to having big aggressive fish, and could use advice on smaller fish. I have an empty 10gal lying around and i kinda wanna put somethin in it. i want to have a community aquarium with active fish. i have all of the equiptment for a freshwater tank so thats what im gonna go with. but anyways, i was wondering what i could put in there. I wouldn't care if the fish in the tank mated or anything either. The fish that i know that i don't like are mollies, platys, and guppies. but if anyone out there has any ideas i'd love to hear what you have to say. i would consider any species no matter what. Thanks everybody

in a 10gallon tank nothing is going to be swimming all over the place because theres not enough space but rummynose tetras are probably as good as they get for what your looking for

33 gallon 7 neon tetras-5 platys-3 bleeding heart tetras-2 corys-1 rainbow shark-2 L83 gibby plecos

first of all set up the tank and start it cycleing...

then go get some plants and proper plant care lighting.

then after a week add three hareliquin rasboras.

then after another two weeks add three corries (any of the smaller varieties)

then after two more weeks add a betta of choice.

do weekly water changes after cycle is complete, but do not change filter media right away until a week after betta addition.

MAKE SURE THE TANK IS CYCLED PRIOR TO ADDING THE FISH!

i wouldnt add many more than that mnay fish due to the small size...

\\\\\\\"an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of the cure\\\\\\\"

try looking up Otocinclus. they're pretty small and common. make sure u don't confuse em with sumthin like chinese algae eaters. those get bigger and pretty aggressive.
the bad thing is that they do die pretty easily. but they are really good cleaning crews.
