Honestly rummy nose get way too big for a 10 gallon tank, they're also schooling fish. Ottos prefer faster moving and cooler water whereas bettas prefer slow moving warm water. I would not go with those stocking choices. If you've already got the betta you might consider some of the smaller species of shrimp.

i dont know much about rummy nose tetras or ottos, but i do know lots about bettas (proud owner of 10) and i know they get along great with plattys, if you go out and get 1 male and 2 females, the females will give birth around once a month, but wit hthe males, them, and the betta, only 1 or 2 will survive, and i guess im blessed with obedient fish, they dont eat their young, i keep them with young of all ages, from a few months, to newborns, and it is also in a 10, but i have to find a store to take them soon, i am over run with em but that gives me choices on who to keep and who to not, and eventually u may want to get another tank, to seperate the males and females, i have some males in a 30 with 100 older guppy fry and females in a 10 with newborns and some comfirmed female plattys and guppy fry,

Is there any reason to insist on the ottos
As was said before they come from a different living environment as the bettas. If you need some form of algae controll (which shouldnt' be a problem in a properly balanced planted tank ) Malaysian Trumpet Snails MTS, will do a wonderful job of eating alge, keeping your substrate airiated and not eating the plants. Additionally they burrow in the substrate during the day so they're almost never seen...IMO rather sad because I think they're cute .

Danios IMO need more swimming space, and additionally may be nippy. While I dont' really like neons, they're your best option for a schooling fish. Make sure the plants are well established in the tank, and that you quarentine the neons to prevent the possible spread of NTD.

Either Neon Tetras or Glowlight Tetras will be fine with a Betta (generally), however if somebody is getting sick you'll need to remove them imediatly as the Betta will attack the slower moving.

I have two Cherry barbs in with a Betta (in a ten gallon). It's a good setup. There is some chasing on the betta's part. But, the Cherry's are too fast for the betta. And they aren't fazed.

Sometimes...it's really funny.
