aviator  Hobbyist Posts: 120 Kudos: 55 Votes: 0 Registered: 04-Aug-2003   | I have an open 10 gallon with 1 bronze cory. How many more cory's should I add? Can any other fish be put in the tank also? |

Babelfish         Administrator Small Fry with Ketchup Posts: 6833 Kudos: 8324 Votes: 1570 Registered: 17-Apr-2003    | Corys need to be in schools, so six is a good group to start out with...however that would be too much for a 10 gallon tank. I'd suggest either upgrading them to a larger tank or returning them to the LFS... Some of the dwarf corys would work, but are often among the more delicate ones. 10 gallon tanks are rather difficult to stock as they are really too small for most schooling fish. Some small danios, cardinal tetras, guppies, endlers, thats' about all I can think of ATM, I'm sure you'll get plenty of suggestions though ^_^  |

| T/A Mega Fish Posts: 942 Kudos: 1796 Registered: 20-Feb-2004 | If the Cories are going to be the only fish in this tank, get 4 more Bronze Cories(total of 5). Cories really do better when with their own type. Don't mix different types of Cories in this small of a tank. If you wanted to get other fish as well, get a bigger tank. |
