Hey folks,
this is my first post. I have a 125 gallon tank that I recently resurrected after having nothing in it for some time. This is what I have in it and I was wondering if any of you had opinions about what I have and what, if anything, you think I should add.
My fish are:
2 boulengerella maculata (pike characin), 6"
2 Geophagus Jurapari, 4"
1 Lima Shovelnose, 6"
2 Pike cichlids, 4"
7 silver dollars, 2.5"

I was thinking of maybe getting a single cichlid, maybe a severum or blue acara? What do you think?
Thanks,
willy

i doubt those fish all live in the amazon
at the sight of "amazon" the first things that pop in to my head was:

discus, angelfish, rams, etc

blue acara and severum in my memory are neo tropical cichlids

No I actually think they both are, just from the northern regions. Not going for any exact biotopes here, just don't want asian stuff or rainbowfish in a S.A tank.

Ha well all three would be nice. I'm not sure, I would really like to add one more fish, I am now thinking perhaps a green terror? Or are they too aggressive for these other fish?
Thanks a lot,
willy

the other SA fish i like wood all b to aggressive for ur current ocupants

my major SA 125g will b my piranha tank once my shoal gets a lil larger

Yeah that would be cool, except piranhas are illegal where I live.... Seen it done though.

Depends on which type of pike cichlid you are looking at/have. Which ones are you talking about, as several will actually eat everything you have listed on your list.
