I would like a cichlid option, a rare/oddball option (or two) and then just whatever everybody else can think of. And definatley no Bettas as they aren`t my cup of tea. |

They are sort of like an eel and are really good in an Aquarium. Or I suggest a Sole, they are compressed ell-like things too. They are as flat as a pancake, and are very odd.... Oh! Now that I think of it, maybe you could get an Upside-Down Catfish. (Sorry, I like oddballs) They are very strange looking... Well, these are some nice, pretty cichlids that could be good too: Chequerboard Cichlid Ram Jade-Eyed Cichlid Oscar Discus Brown Julie Neolamprogus brevis (it is unnamed) Maybe you could try some of those.... I'm not good with cichlids so I'm not sure if you would like them and what they are like, but its your tank! Last edited by Lindy at 26-Oct-2004 22:49 Last edited by Lindy at 26-Oct-2004 22:50 |

I breed them in a 10g-have no idea how many are in there-and they look fantastic with a dark substrate and plants, even just floaters. Have you any interest in doing a SW tank? ~~~~~~~~~~~~ There is water at the bottom of the ocean |

Some really lovely Tahitian Moon sand, shells, and a few of the most fun fish you'll ever own! BTW - Jaylene, there's an edit button at the bottom of every post so you can edit new additions into an old post rather than reposting again and again. Dead useful! ![]() -Molly Visit shelldwellers.com! |

They're oddball cichlids, so they would meet your criteria. N. brevis and L. ocellatus are great shellies, they're small, and are very entertaining to watch. I have 3 of these and they were so busy hiding for the first week, that they freaked me out. You need a small school of these guys and they would be perfect for a 15 gal as they dont get that big. ![]() |
devon7![]() Big Fish Posts: 475 Kudos: 356 Votes: 4 Registered: 31-Aug-2004 ![]() | i've always wanted hillstream loaches but i think they have to be a species tank because they like very different conditions (very fast current, much cooler water etc...) how about dwarf puffers? or rams. If i were you I would also consider shellies, though I have never kept them before. |
Perky![]() Mega Fish Posts: 1064 Kudos: 1036 Votes: 162 Registered: 24-Nov-2003 ![]() | I already have 2 Upsidedown Catfish. Kuhlis sound cool but I have had them before, I might go with cichlids or maybe a brackish puffer. I was thinking of going for a Chaca chaca but that might take a while. Just wait and see for a bit. |
