What fish are in the tank (or will be) ? There are certain fish that like the addition of salt in general, like all brackish fish (most puffers,for example). And in a 10g, you really shouldn't have more than about 4 mollies. And if you are adding salt, I don't think plecos like salt. You really need a bigger tank to house all those fish (from the 10g).
