I like to stick with small, peaceful fish, because I know I won't have compatibililty issues. Also, it is relaxing to watch schools of fish swim around. ![]() |

If I had my choice, I wouldn't have the neons at all... thought they'd be a nice addition, but they're not as fun as the rest of the group. If I had an empty 20 (plots upgrading her betta girls to a bigger tank...), I'd probably wind up putting in a gourami of some sort and then maybe keeping the black neons in there and adding a bunch more to their school of six. Ooo... or, wait... always wanted harlequin rasboras... those instead of the neons, maybe. Lots of plants. Shrimp for bottom feeders? They're fun. Hmm... maybe a pair of fish somewhere between the size of the neons and the gourami (platties?) so the latter doesn't look like a giant in comparison. Dunno... could be an interesting tank, though.Last edited by kitten at 17-Nov-2004 11:37 ~Meow. Thus spoke the cat.~ |
