Would it be possible to have a 20 gallon cold water river setup?

I was thinking maybe some clams and a crayfish.

Any other ideas for my 20 gallon cold water tank?

NOT GETTING A HEATER

What is your average room temperature? Does your room temp drop during the winter?

(see babels post for what I was going to say)

Some of the fish you can consider if you get a heater (for safety) are hill stream loaches and danios.

Even for a cold water tank it's suggested that you get a heater to prevent swings which cause ich. What I do for my 20 is ajust the temp of the heater up in summer down in winter so that should someting happen the temp doesnt' drop more than a few degrees @a time...that's what causes ich.

Having said that...*moves on*

White cloud mountain minnows can handle that temp range, they're very active however and now that I have them in my 20 I wouldnt do it in anything smaller than a 30 long.

Mosquito fish would be another possibility if you can find them...guy @the lfs had no clue what they were .
