They do enjoy each others company, but you have to make sure you have enough algae for them. Otherwise, feed them algae wafers. They will be sure to thank you for them. The other fish you mention will be fine together, and not crowd your tank. |

Try fishless cycling. I wouldn't suggest adding the ottos untill the tank's a year old, and make sure you read up on them they like a little extra care during the acclimation process .^_^ ![]() |

Not recommened for community tanks with smaller or weaker fish" and "The Rainbow Shark can be kept in a large community tank if there is plenty of cover to hide in. This larger fish is too aggressive for beginners." It's also going to be almost six inches... unless that's a 20 gallon long, I don't think I'd put that big of a fish in there. Even with the longer tank, I don't know that I'd do that. I don't know how active these fish are, though. Also, ottos are schooling fish... shouldn't they have a group of six? You've chosen two very small species to go with one aggressive fish... are you sure you want to risk your neons and ottos? Again, I have no experience with the sharks, so I'm just going by what the profile says. *shrugs* ~Meow. Thus spoke the cat.~ |
