Cichlids sounds good. If you wanted to breed rams then you could start out with like 8 and move them as pairs form ![]() fish1 |

Also, barbs, small plecos, and non-splendens bettas are fish that you haven't mentioned keeping. You might try out some of those. ![]() |

They're much better suited to a 20 than Yellow Labs, I think. Or, if you prefer patterns to colors, a Julidochromis species would look wonderful. EDIT: Obviously, I also strongly recommend shelldwellers but everyone else has as well so those are two other options.Last edited by LittleMousling at 29-Dec-2004 10:37 -Molly Visit shelldwellers.com! |

Since you have so many tanks, easy maitenance is important. Breeding is more likely to occur with soft, acid water for most South American Cichlids, and hard, alkaline water for most African Cichlids. Dwarf Cichlids would be a good choice for the 20, such as Apistogramma, Laetacara, Nannacara, Mikrogeophagus (Bolivians, btw, like slightly alkaline water). Shellies are a good choice for Africans. |
