I have a 29 Gallon Tall. Heavily planted and good filtration.
Stock:

2 One male and one female 3 spot gourami (Breeding Pair)
4 peppered corys
1 True SAE

take just feels a little empty and wanted some suggestions on what to add. Don't really want any tetras.

thanks!

Increase your Peppered Cory shoal to at least 6. Then you'll have happier Corys for one thing.

I'd be wary of adding anything more to that setup beyond the extra Peppered Corys though, because that collection will grow to a fair size. Your Gouramis will be 5 inches or so fully grown, the SAE will be 5 inches also, and the Peppered Corys will be 2½ inches each. Now if that was a 29 long, you'd have somewhat more room for manouevre, but a 29 tall places both restrictions on the 'real estate' at the bottom and surface area at the top. Once those fishes grow to a decent size, it won't look empty, believe me!

Maybe a school of Harlequin rasboras. I would get about 8. They stay pretty small.

By 29g tall, how tall is it? I know regular 29g are tall, but is yours taller than average? (I'm just seeing how much surface area you have)
