They stay around 2", are very peaceful, and most of all, have bright colors. And when he gets to Heaven, to Saint Peter he will tell: "One more Marine reporting, Sir! I've served my time in Hell."

As for single fish, I'd recommend a Dwarf Gourami or there's a couple types of Dwarf Rainbowfish or even Bettas (depending on what else is in the tank), but as far as schoolers, I'd say Black Skirt Tetras, Zebra Danios, or Rummynose Tetras all get around 2" each... If you go into the Profiles section of this site you can do a fishfinder: enter 'freshwater', 'peaceful', and 'max size' and see what options come up. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ There is water at the bottom of the ocean
