Stunting could continue in a 30 gal, a 55 or 75 gallon might be better. Id go much bigger on any community that includes goldfish, purely because in proportion to the size , almost nothing kicks out more ammonia than a goldfish. Coldwater and tropicals dont always mix well either, whats the temperatures in that tank like? Id drop the idea of more goldfish or golden orfe until you get a much bigger tank, in the meantime get a few nice tropical fish, and youll be able to enjoy more plants too. Id pass the goldfish on to someone with big aquaria or a pond, it will be better for all the fish.

you said it yourself, u have a stunted goldfish. why get more fish when u dont have room as is.

no matter what anyone says u will probably get the swords but i am with the others, too cold for swords and they wont mix well, if anything more white clouds but u don't have the room.

Tropical fish and coldwater fish have different physiological makeups, requirements, and habits. Please do not mix them, one will end up getting shafted and lead a less than ideal life.

You would definitly need a bigger home for the goldie.

As for the 30g, decide which fish you like better, the minnows or the swords.

If you go with the minnows you could do this:
7 Minnows
Small coldwater bottomfeeder

If you go with the swords:
3x Swords (1M, 2F would be ideal)
3x Guppies or plattys
6x Cories

That would look nice and be really easy to care for

You have to choose, Coldwater OR Tropical. Try explaining to your parents that it is unethical to keep a goldie in such a small tank.
