well tomorrow I'm giving my lonely schoolers and what not back to the pet store and some other fish. After all of this it will leave me with a golden wonder killi and 2 platies. So now I'm looking for some interesting fish that will kind of stick out but doesn't cause much problems. i have plenty of hiding spaces and live and fake plants. So suggestions please? My PH is around 7.4 I believe, and yes I have a heater.

Why not get an angel? Shouldnt cause any problems, and will deffinitly stand out. They are one of those fish that once they are used to a tank they are right at the top of the tank waiting eagerly for food. If you are interested it sounds like a good match.

How about cories and/or a small pleco? These catfish certainly "stand out", and are quite hardy. The cories are very interesting to watch, and many plecos will eat algae. Perfect complements to your tank.

I would stay away from the gouramies, and any other fish that frequent the surface of the water. Because many times killifish will hide in the corners as they are not very social fish. The catfishes would be great. Also, you might try some of the dward cichlids that stay mostly at the bottom, like almost any of the Apistos would do great.

HTH...

My killi is actually very nice and likes his tank mates. He loves to hang around everybody, and he's pretty active.

Would a Festivum work with these guys? Saw em at the pet store and loved em.
