Does algae add any bi-products to the water? And the last question..how important is varying the diet of fish? [span class="edited"][Edited by 2004-09-02 06:43][/span] |

Thats a big tank! As for the stocking, this is what I wold suggest: 15 gold or leopard danios (just get one big school of danios of the same kind, they look nicer that way) 12 tetras 4 mollies (this number depends what species you get) 4 gourmis 1 rainbow shark 6 otos The plants you get depend on your lighting, use of CO2, ferts etc. You don't need that feeder block. Do you have any other food beside the block? Just to make sure, do you know what cycling is? For your tank, I would put the danios in first. They are great fish and good for cycling. Also, I would put the otos in last because they are very sensitive and an established aquarium. HTH |

Mine has been up and running since last Sunday. It truly is a lovely tank and wow its big. It is a lot taller than I realised though so I have to use step ladders to do anything in the tank lol. Still I am very pleased with it though. You only need to buy what you which to decorate the tank with such as a background, gravel, rocks, wood and perhaps a thermometer. That's it I think unless you want to get some spares in for the filter. Have fun I am sure you will love the tank. Oh and you will need two strong men to lift the tank onto the stand it is very very heavy. http://www.greenspersonalprinting.com/ |

I think maybe Robbie since your new to all this you should perhaps read this [link=http://www.fishprofiles.net/faq/begin-cycling.asp ]http://www.fishprofiles.net/faq/begin-cycling.asp [/link] and search the web for any information on cycling your tank it will be in your best interest to do so because unlike myself I learnt the hard way and lost all my fish which cost me a lot of money not to mention what I put those poor fish through. Go and read and learn you will be glad you did. http://www.greenspersonalprinting.com/ |
