Hi,
I have now 4 gouramis http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/mile_rd_8ball/album?.dir=/38e9
The next 1-2weeks i want to have some other fish.
I was thinking of some barbs or tetras.
What barbs and tetras would be good to be with gouramis?
Robby

You can have a couple of Cherry Barbs & there are plenty of Tetra's to choose from. I will name these, Rummynose, Lemon & Emperor.

How about some Corydoras or Loaches?.

You could have a HUGE selection of fish to choose from. The only thing is that I would stick to small fish. Golden gouramis are the smalest species of gourami and you might have problems if you kept them with big fish.

gold gouramis are just a color morph of blue gouramis and reach 5 in, so they definately arent the smallest gourami

If you're going to change the Gourami, go for some Pearl Gourami. They are very peaceful & colourful.

I was thinking of golden gouramis as the honey golden gouramis. My bad. Golden goramis get up to 6 inches. The ones I was thinking of maybe get an inch. You might have to be careful cause gouramis can be territorial. I'd put in lots of plants and dither fishes like tetras. I always thought black phantoms look nice. So do neons.

well..those gouramis r nice but they do get bigger than 3 inches..if u want small one..do get the dwarf gourami, then....they will do well with tetras of smaller varieties like neons or cardinals. u have such a big tank...it would be nice to see schooling fish swimming in there.

You should add your zebras as soon as possible, before competition for food grows more intense.

Yep i want those zebra plecos as soon as possible.
But can i have them now?..the tank is 3 weeks old and the test is:
Ammonia=0,0
PH=7,5
Nitrate=0,2
Iam going to trade the gouramis and get some swordtails or mollies tomorrow.

If you already have nitrates, then it looks like your cycle is good to go. Get those zebras ASAP.
