I will be setting up a new 55g planted soon, and so far my stocking list looks like: 3 pearl gouramis 10 harlequin rasboras 8-10 schooling fish (thinking of moving the rummies, or getting lemon tetras) 1 bristlenose 8 albino cories That's the list at the moment...it will probably change before I actually start getting fish. |

If you don't plan on adding any more surface-middle fish, you could have about 12 barbs. I would maybe get some loaches for the bottom. Yoyos are very fun. Mine keep my entertained. Everyday they do something silly. |

A 55g allows for a nice-sized group and they really are fun fish to watch Any thoughts about a centerpiece fish or are you leaning towards just the large school of barbs? ~~~~~~~~~~~~ There is water at the bottom of the ocean |
