Hi there,
Depending on the size of the Angels,
and the size of the tetras you have in mind,
it should work fine.
Keep in mind Altums, particularly if yours is wild
caught, will definitely devour most small
tetras like neons or lemons with zeal!
Id go with tetras the size of Cardinals at least,
and maybe bigger, like Rummynose Size.

So :
2 Angels
7 Cories
--
Id say you have room for a couple more angels
if you wanted, or not, up to you,
a few more cories, and room for a couple large
groups of small- medium small tetras...
with angels I like Buenos Aires Tetra- peaceful,
not nippy, and large enough to avoid being eaten.
Stunning in a large group.

You could aim for a max of around 80-85 Inches of fish.
Your 7 cories = 14-21 inches depending on species
Altum = 10 inches
Reg Angel = 8 inches.
Currently, working with the larger numbers as though the cories were large variety like peppers, bronze, albino or bandit, which are all pretty common, thats
39 inches of fish, allowing you approximately 35-40 inches more of space to work with!
Hope that helps!
What kinda fish were you interested in and liked?
Maybe we could help more with stocking that way.

WHOA ....

I would NOT put Buenos Aires Tetras in with Angels!

Buenos Aires Tetras are tough enough to be used as dither fish for Dempseys and Green Terrors! I wouldn't trust them with ANY long finned fishes, let alone a prized Altum Angel ... I'd put them fairly and squarely in the Red Eye/Serpae category for nippiness.

Lemons, by the way, get to be at least as large as Cardinals. The Lemons I had for 8 years were pretty chunky fishes when they were fully grown! They were also fast swimmers when they wanted to be. Remember that they overlap with Angels in the wild, so it's not as if the pairing hasn't been tried ... However, Rummies would be an even better choice as they're even quicker.

My choices for Tetras to share the Angel's 75 would be:

Cardinals
Lemons
Rosies
Bleeding Hearts (nice and big)
Rummies
Black Phantoms
Ornate Tetras
Diamond Tetras
Silver Hatchets

While Congo Tetras are too big to be eaten, and aren't nippy themselves (they're also long finned fishes, albeiut males only) they might be a bit too active for the Altum Angel even in a 75. With 75 gallons to play with, there's scope to put some Silver Dollars in if you don't mind them nibbling your plants, and quite a few people on this Board are fans of Harlequin Rasboras as tankmates for angels as they're too big to be eaten, too fast to be caught, yet sedate enough not to give you a facial tic watching them!

I don't know enough about Cochu's Blues to advise this species - it's certainly big enough, and VERY fast swimming, but whether it would prove to be stressful on the Altum angel is moot. Plus, even when they have more than sufficient space, they tend to zoom around a lot (I recently saw them in a dealer aquarium and they are seriously hyperactive fishes).

I have kept a group of 7 Buenos Aires Tetras
with my Angels for years....they are not in
the slightest bit nippy or aggressive towards
any other fish, let alone themselves.
They dont even squabble half as much as my Glowlights!
