I HAVE DONE SEVERAL WATER CHANGES, USE ALGAECIDE, AND TURN MY LIGHT OFF SOONER THAN I USED TO. BUT I HAVE 2 ALGAE EATERS, 1 PLECO, AND SEVERAL MOLLIES. ALL VEGETARIANS! THANKS |

Not one of the shrimp which eats algae from the sides and substrate, but a filter feeding shrimp. They eat algae that is suspended in the water, and it sounds like your algae is exactly that. Try this link for some information. http://www.fishpondinfo.com/shrimp2.htm#wood |

It is caused by a nutruent imbalance in your tank, generally. Can you give us the test results for nitrite, nitrate, and ammonia? http://www.fishprofiles.com/interactive/forums/thread.asp?id=46244 Here's a recent thread by someone who had your problem too. They wear masks of silk, porcelain, brass, and silver, So as not to mislead with their own, ordinary faces. |
