Have an empty tank that I'm about to put two pairs of Aphyosemion australe in and I was wondering if it would be safe to add a neon dwarf gourami? I don't know much about them but I think they are really stunning fish and would make an interesting color mix with the orange australes.

What size tank is it? If it's not very big, I would just stick with the killifish.

It's not too large but I've decided just to stick with the killies anyway. They steel the show all by themselves...such cool fish.

That's awesome. Are you going to breed them?

They'll pretty much breed on their own, right? If I see eggs I probably won't take them out now. I don't have any extra space to raise fry at the moment. If they hatch in the tank I'll let them take their chances... for now. At some point I'd like to actively raise some fry.

Yeah, they would usually lay a few eggs everyday, but the chance of fry survival is very low.
