I have done a 75% water change and cleaned a good majority of the tank of the exsisting alge, however it seems that it wants to come back as the alge continues to grow and the water it getting a greenish tinge. What do i need to slow or end this growth ? |

Keep your tank out of ALL sunlight, even indirect sunlight (such as behind a miniblind). Test your NitrAtes and Phosphates, reduce amount of feeding. Remove as much algae by hand as possible, and do twice weekly water changes of 25% instead of 75%. There's lots you can do, this is simply some of the options. I would not recommend using any chemical algae killers however. |

You can also try to do a complete black out for 2-4 days, keep all lights off, and cover up the tank with a blanket or towel. You can also get a very fine filter pad, that is designed to catch much smaller debree and keep your tank looking less cloudy. |
