Ive got a female yellow lab holding eggs or fry!!

I also looked in my tank today nd my angels were cleaning the filter intake, then about 2 hours later i saw them laying eggs!!

Question- I was watching them lay eggs, and as tehy passed eggs that had already been layed, they fell off the filter intake tube. Why is this? Did they not clean it good enough to where the eggs will stick?

Is this their first spawn? It'll take'em awhile to get the hang of it. I've had them knock them off while fanning the eggs but they got better at it.

Good luck and congrats, Mike

They'll get the hang of it. They're young yet. Put alot of stuff in there so they can pick a spot to their liking. Plastic sword plants (the tall kind), slate, pots and things like that.

Good luck, Mike

Okay will do. I also forgot to mention that when i came home today there was a significant drop in eggs. I think they must have eaten them?

Try putting one fish in with them. If they have something to guard against it sometimes keeps them from eating the eggs. A Molly or Swordtail work pretty good.

Good luck, Mike
