Pair of cherry barbs

In a planted 5 gal. OK or not?

Also, can soemone point me in the direction of the small tank stocking article, I can't seem to find it!

IMO You should be with the stocking limits, as a 5 gal. tank is quite small.

I would just have the male betta and the ADF. Cherry barbs really need atleast a 10g IMO. They would be happier there. Also, if the betta is aggressive, or gets aggressive, the cherries will be limited on hiding places, even if it is planted.

I agree with what has been said before. Judging by what i know, Cherry Barbs can be very active when they want to be, so i would just go with the betta and the ADF

Cherry barbs are one of the exceptions to the rule and are not a schooling barb. They prefer a pair over a full size school.

I'd go with either the barbs or the betta along with the adf instead of both.
