lol, the dwarves are adorable when they're puffed up My son keeps asking me to make our dwarf puffers "puff" but I don't want to scare them.. I'll have to show him those pictures so he can see what they look like..

How do you make a puffer puff?


Puffers puff when they're scared, stressed or defending a territory. Keep in mind that this is extremely stressful for the fish and can, or so I have heard, lead to death if the situation is not corrected quickly.

Yes, puffing up is very hard on them and you should never *make* them do it.

i have 4 in a 10 gallon tank 2 males 2 females my males puff i see them bout once a week the 2 males puff up a lil bit n float back n forth stare each other down
