Barnaby (axolotl) has an infection on her leg, and is missing a good deal of tail

When i picked her up, her belly was so full of stones she made a rasping sound in my hands

I *think* she has been biting herself (it could have been pluto, but that doesnt make as much sense, pluto wouldnt have nibbled along the top of the tail and at the back leg, he always approaches from the front, and i cant see him doing such a half-heated job.

I need to switch that tank over to sand AND i need to find feeding tongs.

Maybe i should add feeder fish too? erg, i dont know, these guys are much much harder than fish!
They require constant attention and what with my being ill this week, i neglected them

OK, enough of this, time to make them better

getting better, certainly eating well (we are up to 5 pellets since she was separated )

so we are getting there.

Now i have to hunt down some slate and an anubias or 2 for cover, and that should be a lovely tank for them to veg in, Axie-proof!
