I have a 65 gallon tank with the following;

2 Skunk botia
7 Neons
1 Male platty
3 albino cory
2 flying foxes
6 x ray tetra
3 khuli loach
6 Rummy nosed tetra

6 ghost shrimp
3 cherry shrimp
1 unindentified shrimp

what do you think?

Do i have the right balance... I am aware that I have too many bottom feeders, however I make sure they are fed properly with a mixed of fish food, algae tablets, shrimp tablet and fresh vegetables.

Please do not suggest the fish you have and 'are great', i want suggestions for my tank....Thanks

MDB

I think that you could up the numbers of your schooling fish, namely the neons, perhaps up to 12, the corys to a group of 6 or more, the kuhli loaches to a group of 6 or more, and give the platy some friends. If you dont want babies, just get all males.
I do not think you have too many bottom feeders, I think you are lacking in the numbers appropriate for these species.
I have heard that skunk botia can be very aggressive towards each other if you have them in pairs or small groups. Flying foxes, if they are species Epalzeorhynchus Kallopterus, will become very aggressive towards each other with age. I reccomend removing both one of the foxes and one of the skunk botia.
Just my opinion, maybe someone else will agree or disagree with me.
By the way, what are the dimensions of your tank, LxWxH, this may help people to help you with your stocking.

I would suggest getting a male fancy dwarf gourami and get your male platy 2 females to be with.

I've had platies in my 29g since it was cycled. I've only had 3 fry survive on their own and it's a well planted tank, the others get eaten. If you don't want to chance that though it would be nice to have a friend or 2 for the platy, just get males.

Your cories would probably be happier in a group of at least 6.

Three is a good number for kuhlis but more wouldn't hurt, depends on what you're looking for.

Just some ideas.
