One of the easiest fish to look after and breed and sell is probably the guppy. They are cheap, look good and breed like rabbits.

Pretty much any kind of danio are IMO the easiest to look after, the easiest to breed i would agree with the above and go with guppy, and the easiest to sell to the LFS i think is the angelfish. A lot of people come into the shop looking for angelfish, and one of the key factors in selling most of them is the fact that a lot are locally bred. This is an advantage because we know what we're getting, they've come from quality stock, they're used to the local water conditios and generally are cheaper

First, find out if any of your LFS buy fish or accept them for store credit; many don't.

If you feel comfortable, talk with store employees about what fish customers ask for that they don't carry. Do research from there...is this particular species easy to breed? is it one that I have space for? can I get started breeding this fish by purashing breed stock online?

I have bred Firemouths before. They are very aggressive when they are breeding and protecting their fry. They aren't to hard to breed, but you should buy 6 juvis and let them pair up.
If I were going to breed a fish that is easy to breed and eay to care for, but still you can make a profit off of. I would probely breed one of the following:
-Panda Cories
-BN's
-Shellies
-Brichardi
Now I can only speak for what they cost around here.
