I've read different ways of using but most say they put the stuff in the water and then the next day put fish in. What I'm more leaning toward is the one were I read using a de shelled shrimp. Is this the kind that you get in the seafood area in the market. The grayish colored ones or the ones that are already cooked? And then do you just put one or two in depending on the size tank (say a 20 gallon) than wait? Once all readings come correct do a 20% water change then you can add fish? Sorry its a lot I'm very interested in this product!!! thanks everyone tigermom ![]() |

If so, and you wish to have the tank fully cycled prior to adding fish, it will not be cycled in one day. you can cycle the tank with fish, but I had a pretty rough time of it by going that route. If you wish to cycle without fish, you can do so with household pure ammonia and fish food. If your question does not relate to attmepting to cycle your tank, then just slap me lol and excuse my ignorance! lol good luck! |

You are supposed to add the BioSpira at the same time you add the fish to the tank. If you add it the day before the bacteria will die because of no food. The way i would do it would be to add half the stockload for the tank and then add the full biospria suggested for that tank. That way you have more than what is needed. Make sure that when you get biospira it is refrigerated because otherwise it will be useless. If you don't use it right away, put it back in your fridge at home. if you want to use the shrimp, i would use the fresher shrimp as it will decay faster imo. HTH Thanks for your input as always, Shane http://thetanklog.blogspot.com/ - [ Thanks to ScottF ] http://www.natureaquariumclubofutah.com/main.html |
