Im sure it would be just fine to add a pair of angels to that tank. A 20g is a little short for angels, I would say a 25 tall would be better.
Your tank wont experience much of a mini cycle from adding two fish. Dose some NI Cycle just to make sure if you are really worried, and just monitor the levels with your test kits.

depends on how you cycled the tank and what is in there now? i agree that 20g is too small for breeders

ok, in my old 20 i had 2 angels, and 3 octos and only had the tank up for about a week... within 6 months i had babies. Angels are extremely hardy fish. Just make sure your ph is at acceptable levels, and watch out for cholrine in tap water other than that, its pretty hard to kill them

thanks.

We used to breed angles in a regular 20 gallon, we stopped, put them back in the main tank... sadly, the sword tails in the tank literally picked them to death.

2 angles lived for another month, then they just died the same day a month later (which was a little wierd)

20 gallons is a general size for breeding, even though they'd be happier in a 29.

If this tank is used for breeding, I'd reccomend bare bottom with just slate for the angels to breed on or breeding cones.
