Where can i get brine shrimp eggs so i can hatch them and feed them to my fish. Is it hard to do? I don't think that either of the Petcos in my area or Walmart have eggs. Can i get a sea monkey kit from a toy store, or are those full of chemicals that are harmful to fish? How much would i expect to pay for brine shrimp?

the quantity you get hatching isn't worth it unless you decide to get a fairly large tank to hatch them from. i'de say just buy them frozen and find some other live food thats a bit more rewarding.

No waste shells to remove. Best for beginner. How I hatch them is in a large mason jar with an airstone. Add dechlorinated water...aquarium salt ( how much? says on the salt package but I always just dumped some in), get airstone going in there. Dump in some eggs. Keep somewhere warm. Unplug the airstone after a few days and see how many wrigglers ya have. Scoop some out with a brine shrimp net ( sold at most pet stores), rinse them with dechlorinated water in the net to get the salt off - plop in tank.

Also, if you got a few smaller-sized ice cube trays, you can do this:
Have a container with dechlorinated water-- scoop the brine shrimp out of the jar with brine shrimp net - plop the net in the freshwater and rinse the brine shrimp off ( keep the net moving the same way you scooped them out so they stay in the net). Have a bowl of distilled water standing by. Put the brine shrimp into the distilled water. Suck them out with a turkey baster and into the ice cube trays. Freeze em.

A small package of eggs will save you an immense amount of money compared to buying frozen if you're going to be feeding brine shrimp a lot.
