very similar to T. suvatti (Arrowhead puffer) and T. palembangensis (King Kong puffer). The congo puffer grows to ~6-7" and is from the Congo River in Africa. They can and will change color to match their surroundings...possibly why it was called a Chameleon puffer. They can basically turn any color from black, brown, tan, cream, red, orange, yellow etc. IME, they are a bit more difficult to keep than Arrowheads. I originally got 2 congos. 1 died a few weeks later...I never got him to eat steadily. The I've had the other for some time and am starting to have problems getting him to eat.

You'll get a lot more valuable advice when Pufferpunk comes along

Jason, I'm sorry you're having problems with your remaining Congo. My little red gal (Punkster) has grown 3x her origional 1" size & eats everything! I have her in 1/2 black sand & 1/2 red gravel (mixed), so she'll see the red & stay the bright red color she was when I got her. She stays buried most of the time. I think she must come out when she's hungry.
