They might not eat up the danios, but I'm not sure how they would do with the other fish. Also, it would take up too much room. Your tank looks somewhat close to being fully stocked. I would add at least one more kuhli (they like to be kept in groups of at least three), and then maybe a ram. You have plenty of room on the bottom (those danios are hogging the middle of the tank, anyways), and rams are peaceful, as well. I think that a German or Bolivian ram would be a great fish to have. And when he gets to Heaven, to Saint Peter he will tell: "One more Marine reporting, Sir! I've served my time in Hell."

I suspect there are those who will say that a Firemouth may eat the Danios once it's full grown but I don't think so. If that's a worry for you how about Kribs or Brichardi. Both pretty tough fish but a breeding pair of either could be a problem. Have fun, Mike
