bettachris![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Ultimate Fish Guru Posts: 3875 Kudos: 4173 Votes: 452 Registered: 13-Jun-2004 ![]() ![]() | perfect, my favorite fish in the world. truely a shame not kept so often, but probably for the best as they are kinda endangered. n.e way. the high fin loach (as i call them) history: i have had many over the years, and love them. they are massive. they will go through 3 different phases during their life time. and when they are massive 40 + inch adults they look really nothing like their young stage. very dark, long, and short fins. care: they do better in coldwater, but can handle warm water. an excellent filter is needed, and well oxygenated water. they aren't picky at food, i never had one outside, i tank raised all of mines, and they took pellets, never really saw one eat algae. tankbuster: again a massive pond would be needed as these guys are massive tankbusters. i wish you the best of luck, i truely call this fish my number one favorite. |

They both will be going in the pond for spring to fall. What would you estimate their growth rate be. |
