Did you rinse the gravel? The substrate is almost always the cause of newly filled tanks being cloudy. It should clear in a day or 2 and cause no harm.

Yeah , thats the dust off the gravel. Usually before adding gravel to tanks i put it in a bucket and swill it around with water running into it for about 3 minutes. Since the dust is already in there, you might as well finish setting it up and get the filter running, then keep stirring it up so the filter picks up the dust.

When you're finished & start your filter, the cloudness will clear up in a day & it will be fine.
