sham Ultimate Fish Guru Posts: 3369 Kudos: 2782 Votes: 98 Registered: 21-Apr-2004	Did you rinse the gravel? The substrate is almost always the cause of newly filled tanks being cloudy. It should clear in a day or 2 and cause no harm.

Usually before adding gravel to tanks i put it in a bucket and swill it around with water running into it for about 3 minutes. Since the dust is already in there, you might as well finish setting it up and get the filter running, then keep stirring it up so the filter picks up the dust.
