ok tell me if this is completely crazy but....
1.) Can Convict cichlids be kept with Angel fish?
2.) What are some species that can be kept with Convicts?

i say they can be kept with angels. They also should be able to live with other semi agressive cichlids and bigger fish like silver dollars.

You can't really just gonna say it would kill the ram...yes a convict has a more agressive side to it but it really all depends on tank size. Usually in bigger tanks convicts are alot less agressive , unless your convicts decide to breed sometime then they get mean towards anything that comes near their eggs.

Well you did say 2 convicts. I was just assuming you meant a pair. And IMO, like I said above, PROBABLY (not definitely) would kill the ram.

And if you think that;
You can't really just gonna say it would kill the ram...
then why ask your compatability question. Because the ram is probably in the %5 most timid fish of all. And if you are not worried about the Ram, then you should not be worried about most any fishs compatability. I have seen Convicts, keep a Trimac cornered into one 1/4 of a 150 gal tank. I have also seen a pair of breeding convicts kill two full grown Oscars in a 125. So, IMO, I think they would most likely kill the Ram.

Ok, so the ram might be killed, what about the gourami (blue/ three spotted) will he be ok with a pair of cichlids.

As the convicts will stay mostly in the lower water column, and the gouramis will stay in the upper water column, I don't see them being a threat to the convicts, so I don't think the convicts will worry to much about them. And, as long as you have enough hiding spacies for the cories, I think they will be OK as well.

You can try a naturaly divider, it may work. Anything is worth a try. You may want to see if you can trade him in for another fish of some kind at the lfs
