| Conditioning Electric Yellows? | |

MR_CICHLID![]() Fish Addict Posts: 770 Kudos: 582 Votes: 124 Registered: 12-Aug-2003 ![]() | I find two things work real well for me, 1) double their daily food intake. 2) on an overcast day, just before a rain do a 50% water change. the first just fattens up the females so they kind feel like their bulky enough to go the 3-5 wks without food, and also produce healthy young. the second has lots to do with the barametric pressure as in Lk. Malawi the peek breeding season is the rainy season. Anyways try them out and see how it goes. Also, you might just find that your 5 yellows in a 29g, just won't spawn. I'd have to say that's because the females simply don't feel secure enough to do so. Most likely due to lack of "free" space. Good Luck [span class="edited"][Edited by 2004-08-09 19:36][/span] |

All i do is just feed mine regulary with nothing in particular different when there ready theyll do the deed. Usually they breed after ive done a water change (15-20%) with cooler water. Other than that i do nothing and they breed constantly for me every 3-4 weeks |
