for some strange reason my boesman has been following one of my striped rasboras all day and was rubbing against the rasbora as if trying to breed. i dont think its being done out of aggression, but i could be wrong . any explanation for this strange behavior?

Yup , its a randy rainbow! Rainbowfish can be sexually VERY promiscuous. You'll soon know if its aggression, they tend to do body rams! Ie: POW!

I think yours is a little frustrated, has it got a female or two? They are a shoaling fish, without a partner of the same species they can become very weird indeed! Even female rainbows may shimmy against other unrelated fish, so that they can release eggs outside of the presence of a male.
