pufferpunk![]() Big Fish Posts: 462 Kudos: 395 Votes: 0 Registered: 21-Feb-2003 ![]() | Most (well rinsed) prepackaged aquarium/play sand is ok to use, but beware--Congos are probably the best of all puffers as chamelions for camoflauge. If you have white sand, expect the color in your puffer to be extremely washed out. That is why I use 1/2 black sand & 1/2 red gravel--mixed. I waited 5 years for a bright red Congo puffer & when it sees the red gravel it will stay that color.
