![]() | Converting Biowheel From Saltwater To Fresh |
LMuha![]() ![]() Mega Fish Posts: 908 Kudos: 1144 Votes: 183 Registered: 17-Mar-2003 ![]() ![]() | I have two biowheel filters that I used in a saltwater quarantine tank that was treated with copper. I'm now planning to use them on a freshwater tank. The only part I'm not sure whether I can re-use is the pleated paper wheel -- less because it was used on a saltwater tank than because it was used on a tank treated with copper. Is that likely to matter? |

I would just rinse it really well and run in on a empty tank with active carbon in the filter for a couple of days if it were me. IMO ![]() ![]() ![]() |
