Would treating my water with copper lower the PH as well?

Ive had a drastic drop in PH, and the only difference was this treatment.

It could depending on what minerals were already present in your water. You should be careful using copper in your tank, there are many species of fish and invertebrates that do not respond well to copper. Loaches, catfish, snails, shrimp, etc.
