I was just wondering if anyone had ever used New and Improved Cycle and if it is worth buying. When do you put it in the tank, right when you add fish first? Thanks!

Yes, it works very well, and yes, you add it when you first put fish in.

So I read the other thread and it doesn't say whether or not you put in all your fish at once or not. I thought you only add a few at a time, but wanted to double check. Also, is this something that works better at warmer water temps? Thanks

i actually add it about 6 hours after i add my fish, just so i dont get immediate die-off, but i dont think it matters greatly.

I would avoid adding to much new stock to the tank even with the NIC. Are you starting a new fresh tank? If so the NIC will definitely ensure a faster cycling time. For a established tank I personally don't dose as the bottle says, it just IMO wastes money. If your ammonia and nitrite are zero and are constantly zero there is a functional bacteria colony established and no need to keep adding NIC. However, if you do happen to have a spike in ammonia and nitrite it is handy to a bottle around to help remedy the situation.

Openwater said my thoughts exactly.

I've used NIC many times for such reasons as stated above.

You only want to add a few fish at a time, too much fish at one time, whether your tank is cycled or not, can have a large impact on your tanks bioload.
Cycle is good for seeding your tank, as well as getting rid of Ammonia and NitrItes. On a fully cycled well running tank, I do not feel the need to use NIC, or any other similar product.
