![]() | Cyclops as live food? |
checkerboard![]() Fingerling Posts: 16 Kudos: 14 Votes: 8 Registered: 05-Oct-2006 ![]() | I have a daphnia culture; it's going very well ![]() The daphnia culture originally came with cyclops which I've separated to a 2 liter coke bottle. I left it alone. They seem to be surviving. I separated them because I've read that cyclops will attack daphnia and small fry. But I've my doubts. A few daphnia is surviving amidst a huge crowd of cyclops. ![]() I want to use the cyclops as live food. What I am afraid of is that the cyclops might overpopulate if my fish aren't interested in them or that my fish aren't fast enough to catch them. I have guppies, cories, and a pair of cherry barbs in my tank. Can I use cyclops as live food? |

They are shelled, but anything that is mouth-sized should be fair game. I wouldn't try them for fry food. |
