| Cynobacteria question... | |

It is the only tank in the house with it. I was using it as a holding tank for a couple of my fish. Well, I am currently setting up a 75 gallon tank to move my 30 gallon residents to. The plan was to move the guys from the 10 to the 30 after everything was complete. My 30 gallon is a gorgeous, perfectly healthy, awesome tank. I DON'T want the cynobateria to take over that tank! It would be a tragedy! My question is... how would I go about quarantining the fish from that tank to make sure they wouldn't spread it to my 30 gallon. One of the fish actually has the cynobacteria ON it... like you can actually see it. I know the others will carry it in as well. I do not mind getting rid of the one, but I am NOT willing to give up the others. What should I do? Is it possible to prevent them spreading it to the 30 gallon? Thanks! |

The other one is about to fall off too. He has it in a few different spots. I have no clue what to do for him. ![]() |

I know it is probably not common to see on a fish... but I think we have all lost the point of this post. How do I keep it from spreading from the 10 gallon to the 30 gallon when I transfer the fish??? That is ALL I need to know... how to keep the problem confined to the 10 gallon without having to get rid of the fish rather than transferring them to the 30 gallon? Anyone have any input on this, any experience with dealing with this? If so, please tell me how you dealt with the issue. Thank you! |
