So theres mopani and bogwood, and christianos??? (or was my lfs having me on??)

so does anyone know whats the difference and how many other types are there?

There are a far amount of different drift woods. I think their name relates to how and from where they were collected. They all require the same treatment. Place the wood in water for two or three weeks before placing it in the tank.
