I have:
a 4ft tank that holds 180 litres(approx 44gal)
a 200 watt heater
a dolphin filter that does 750 litres per hour
a few live plants

Stocking plan:
1 CAE, curently 12cm
between 6 and 15 WCMM
1 or 2 Pearl Gourami

I know CAEs can be very agressive, and their main victims seem to be fish like gourami. But, I already have the CAE(he was a present) so i can't get rid of him.

I really like the Pearl Gourami, so i want to know if they can be put into a 10 or 15 gal tank(or one in each) if they do get attacked until i can re-house them somewhere safer.

Also, is this overstocked?

I can't help you with the gourami situation, but your stocking list is fine. Even going with 2 gouramis and 15 WCMMs with the CAE, you will still have some more room in that tank.

I wouldnt put the gouramis in a 10G but a 20G and maybe the 15G would be fine.
