| Dwarf Sunset Platy had babies! | |
sand![]() Hobbyist Posts: 132 Kudos: 77 Votes: 0 Registered: 18-Mar-2004 ![]() | wanted my tiny trumpet snails to grow without me vacuuming them up. so I filled a 2.5 gal with water from a community tank, added tons of java fern & some tiny baby snails. put it in the sunlight. it's been there about 2.5 months. I replace all the water with tank water about once every 2 weeks. it's loaded with algae and floating green stuff. when i saw my Dwarf Sunset Platy girl was ready to have her babies i did the 100% water change & put her in there. there is still tons of floating green stuff (it was on the plants and i didn't rinse them on purpose). she had her babies right away. that was yesterday, the babies are eating all the algae stuff cuz i've seen them and they're pooping already! ahhahha. it sure is an easy way to raise them! I wont have to worry about feeding them for awhile this way. she went back in the main tank today cuz she was eating all their floating green stuff! |
