All my local petshops are now stocking dyed fish!
I have stoped buying fish from there because of this terrible trade.
I don't know if the retailer knows they have dyed fish but I dont know wether to confront them about the dyed fish or not?
I know them a bit but don't know what to do.

Just stop buying from that petshop and try to tell others not to shop there. You can confront them, but it's your decision.

i hope you guys realise that most LFS's dont order fish, they just get sent a shipment, and dyed fish might be in the bunch.

Well im sure if the petstore owners really do care about fish they won't sell dyed fish, the stores that do sell dyed fish don't normally care much for fish and just want to make money.

It's best to avoid supporting the trade, so don't support the LFS that supports the trade (if you get what i mean).

Ghostfish I'm sure there must be a good LFS somewhere near where you live.

I would say they definitely know what those poor fish go through. This one store I frequent sells them and one of the few long time workers told me not to buy them. She told me all about the process, that only a few fish survive the process and emphasized that the colour runs out in three months anyway so it was pointless to get them. The only reason they had them was because a few people asked for them. I was shocked and disgusted. But they definitely know about the poor fish.
