Ok, about two weeks ago, I was at my LFS and inside their tank of feeder goldfish, there was a tadpole. I dedided to take him because I have a tank set up for frogs right now. Since he is still just a tadpole, I have him in my 29gal tank with a few other fish. His hindlegs are about 1/2 inch long and his front legs are just starting to come out. His body is about 4" long When should I take him out of my 29gal aqaurium and put him into the frog tank? I can't put him in my frog tank right now because there isn't alot of water for him to swim in.

as soon as you see two arms and two legs, i'd transfer the tadpole into your frog tank. that's when he'll need land to complete his final stage of developing into a frog.

Do his legs and arms need to be fully developed first?

Probably best to feed him to something. Chances are he is an American bullfrog tad (which is usually what comes in with feeder golds), and these are illegal in much of Canada, as they are an invasive, destructive pest. Full-grown, it will weigh 2-5 lbs and be capable of eating mice.

I've never seen a bullfrog tadpole with a 4" long body though...

The ones we get in at my store have a body length of only 1-2 inches.

I'm not your neighbor, you Bakersfield trash.

Yeah, I'm not sure what type of frog he is going to be. From his head to the tip of his tail is 4". :%)
