I've been feeding my fish flake food on a regular basis. I recently started giving them brine shrimp instead twice a week.

Now they are not interested in the flake food. They sometimes just look at it and let it just float to the bottom. But when I feed the shrimp, it's like a frenzy.

Is this normal? Is a diet of just shrimp detrimental to their health? How can I break them of this habit?

well now that you fed them the shrimp they no longer touch the flakes because they like the shrimp better. you could try to get a shrimp pellets of some sort and see if thed eat that.

I'm not absolutely positive on this, but if you feed them some shrimp and the flake food at the same time, they might go for it all. Try it out once and see if it works.
