Which is the best flake food? In your experiences for not clouding up the water? I am using King British Flakes at the moment and it seems to make my water very bitty and cloudy. Your Opinions very much appreciated thanks Tessa

I have used Hikari, Wardleys, and Tetramin without any clouding at all. Another way to reduce clouding is to watch how much your fish eat, then feed accordingly. That way there won't be leftover food clouding up the water.

I've used Omega One, HBH, Tetra, and Wardley's and haven't had a problem with any clouding. I try to feed small portions so the food usually isn't in the water long enough to cloud!

I use TetraMin flakes for my community tank and TetraMin "Rich Mix" for all my Bettas, with neither causing any clouding. Good luck!

I use and love OSI. I have had no clouding problems with wardley, tetra, hikari or frozen food either.

it's for the fish pookiekiller12, not you....

I've never had any clouding issues with any of my flake foods . I've used wardly, tetra, and well..can't remmber but I'm sure I've used others.
I think the most importat thing which has been said so far is to carefully watch how much is eaten. Leftover food or too much food will cloud the water.

I use Nutrafin and Pro Balance. I haven't had any probs with either of them and i've even noticed a considerable (positive) difference in the colourings of my fish after using pro balance.

Well thanks for all the info guys and girls. I think i might go back to tetramin i had no problem with that. Em it is possible though like what has been suggested that i might just be over feeding. I will cut back and see what happens. Thanks again

My fish seem to like the Tetramin traditional flake food. I give them the Tetra Spirulina flakes as a treat. I did notice that feeding style seems to make a difference in how they eat. I put a tiny pinch in one particular corner and wait until all that is eaten and continue to put a tiny bit more in until they lose interest (usually within a minute).

I recently found Tropical Crisps by TetraMin. It is the same formula as their flake food but in tiny wafers similar to Fruity Pebbles breakfast cereal. It doesn't make the mess that flake does and my fish love it. We both get to have a bowl of cereal in the morning

I have those Tetra tropical crisps too. My fish like them, but seem to have an easier time eating the regular flakes. I guess my guys like their cereal soggy. lol.

Well guys and girls I have cut back on the fish feeding and I am adding it slowly so as it gets eaten as soon as it hits the water and guess what the water is now back to crystal clear. I was most defo feeding to much thanks for your help. The only thing now is I worry that they are not getting enough food lol but I guess they are its just me being a worry head.
